KIA MemorialListed in: Holidays and Observances > Memorial Day
Our sites honor the memory of those from our U.S. Armed Forces killed in action (KIA), including body not recovered (BNR), and died of wounds (DOW); we also include died while captured (DWC) related content. Though Memorial Day is every day, its first official observance was ordered by General Logan in his General Order Number 11 for May 30, 1868. We also welcome Memorial Day-themed sites.
